Expedition Overview

• Treks with a primatologist funded by National Geographic to look for chimpanzees, gorillas, and endangered golden monkeys
• Watch chimpanzees up close at a sanctuary established with the Jane Goodall Institute
• Meet scientists at the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund’s Karisoke Research Center to learn about ongoing conservation projects
• Obtain an in-depth perspective of Dian Fossey’s 18-year gorilla study while trekking through her living laboratory in Volcanoes National Park
